Chocolate Cheese Curd Dessert Recipe {vegan}

Soft, creamy, just wonderful dessert - sweet cheese curd treats...

Even though this dessert main ingredient is curd you can make it vegan and it will be just as delicious (if not even more) as the usual dessert.


The idea to make these beautiful homemade cheese curd treats came up as one vegan girl complained, that she really misses it and as I got all the ingredients at home, I decided to try to make something good. The first time I made it only with poppy seeds and it was lack of taste... As I'm a huge lover of chocolate it wasn't a big question, what I need to add to improve it... CACAO (and/or bananas) is always the answer.



Vegan Chocolate Cheese Curd Dessert:
  • 6oz silken tofu
  • 3 tbsp full fat coconut milk
  • Cacao (I used with 20% fat)
  • Brown sugar
  • 0.7 oz of chocolate cut into very small pieces (use more if you like)
  • Poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1.5 oz of chocolate for melting

Method:

  1. Blend well tofu with coconut milk, sugar and cacao.
  2. To the curd mass add chocolate pieces and poppy seeds, mix well.
  3. Simple with a spoon add curd mass into the plate. It should make 6 dessert treats.
  4. Melt chocolate on the low heat and apply it gently on the top of the curd.
  5. Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
  6. If you have enough patience to wait, after two hours melt some more chocolate and apply it on the other side. Place into the fridge for another 2 hours.
